In this episode, out 24th, I make a truly bizarre slip of the tongue, and it, weirdly, becomes the title of the episode. I think I was trying to describe the stupidity of Michael Bay’s movies, and it just came out. I apologize. (more…)

The B-Movie Podcast, episode #23: “With Special Guest Uwe Boll!”
In this episode, William Bibbiani and I take on one of the most notorious film directors in the world, the infamous Dr. Uwe Boll, and find that he’s… actually kind of a nice guy with some good ideas and a healthy attitude. He is widely hated in the filmmaking community for his series of video game adaptations, but is gregarious and kind in real life. (more…)
Horrible Bosses
Horrible Bosses
Film review by: Witney Seibold
Seth Gordon‘s “Horrible Bosses” falls squarely into an unnamed sub-genre of recent R-rated comedies that is marked by callow, spindly white guys whose spend most of the film shrieking and openly broadcasting their middle-class neuroses as if they are badges of honor. Reading the screenplay for “Horrible Bosses” must have been an arduous task at best, despite some good zingers here and there, and a generally good concept that probably read a lot darker than the film turned out to be.

“Cars 2” was released this week, and it’s still really weird to me that there are no people in this universe. Living cars creep me out a little bit. (more…)
PODCAST: The B-Movies Podcast, episode #22: “Goats Be Goats”
Since so many top-10 lists at the end of the year fail to mention films that come out before July, William and I have decided to give you our favorite films of the year so far in this latest episode of The B-Movies Podcast. We talk about “Hesher,” “The Tree of Life,” and I go on a little too long about the obscure Italian film “Le Quattro Volte.” Then we go on to discuss “Cars 2,” and how disappointing it is, despite being a good film. (more…)
PODCAST: The B-Movies Podcast, episode #21: “Nashville is No Popeye”
The Green Lantern has always struck me as a weird superhero. He’s got a weird name, a weird superpower, and yet has somehow become rather high on the list of b-grade superheroes. (more…)
