The Top-10 Films that Should Have Been Franchises

Article by: Witney Seibold

Aside from the conversations that begins with “Who would win in a fight?,” geeks like me can spend countless hours dreaming about expanded sequels that never were. Film nuts of a certain stripe love to congregate over a deck of superhero trading cards, or games of “Magic: The Gathering,” and posit such things. Who would be recast? Who would direct? Why didn’t the hero of “The Rocketeer” do such-and-such a thing?

Here is another list that I compiled for the good people over at Geekscape.net. It is a collection of films that had the potential to be full-blown franchises, and I was eager to see continued, but were cut short for one reason or another.

Leave comments. Correct any mistakes. I’ve already been taken to task for excluding “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” and “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins.”
And be well.
