            Watching “88 Minutes,” I had this sinking feeling that Al Pacino’s career was never going to pick up again.

            Several times throughout “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” a romantic comedy about the emotional wasteland we must traverse following a particularly hurtful breakup, the line “cut the bullshit” is uttered. O the sweet mercy of such a line.

            “Pathology” resembles David Cronenberg’s “Crash” in a lot of ways: They’re both about secret cadres of otherwise intelligent people who, for reasons of obsession, fetishism, and downright honest-to-goodness sociopathy, engage in some rather horrible (and often self-destructive) crimes. But whereas Cronenberg’s film had the courage to delve deep into the minds of its characters, and present us with a dark, unadulterated view of one’s inner velocity toward moral oblivion, “Pathology” is a stupid and poorly-acted slasher flick with few redeemable qualities at all.

            13 years in the making, “Lake of Fire” is as complete a documentary one will probably ever hope to find. Not only does it meticulously follow a complicated issue like abortion in America, but miraculously includes, wholly, both sides of the argument.

“Teeth” is a film about a teenage girl, living deep in Bible Belt Texas, and having just taken a leading position in her local teen chastity program, who learns that she has razor-sharp teeth in her vagina.
